D.R.E.A.M is a live-reading of selected passages of "What is Documentation" (1951) by Suzanne Briet's – also known as Madame Documentation. Briet (France, 1894-1989) was a prolific and imaginative teacher, librarian, poet and pioneer of Documentation. She made available to the public bibliography that was forgotten in basements during the war but also work for the constitution and development of what she considered Documentation but later (and partly because of the concentrated in the so called "Father of Information Science" Paul Otlet) – was called Information Science. Specially relevant is the attention she put in the impact of information technology in the labour of documentarians: "Homo-documentator must prepare himself to take command –with all his senses awake- over the robots of tomorrow", she wrote. She became Vice President of the International Federation for Documentation (FID) and acquired the nickname "Madame Documentation." From the printing press, transcription, sketching, photocopying, scanning or streaming, distant objects are brought into proximity via documentary techniques – or documentation – which Briet considered a cultural technique in its own right. In a time where collective knowledge and intellect is being processed and documented, simultaneously with its production via streaming and in order to cover the demands of the labour market under the restrictions posit by the management of the pandemic; D.R.E.A.M is a reading that center our screen-attention in Briet to focus in the difference between objects and documents, our role as what she called "homo-documentators" and as such, our relation with the political economy of Documentation and therefore, the way in which knowledge shape our dreams.
